From Florence to Assisi in honor of Gino Bartali
Welcome to the first edition of the Bartali 180 - Riding The Hero’s Path event. We are excited and honored to share with you this incredibly special and unique opportunity to honor the legendary Gino Bartali.

In this one-of-its-kind event, you will live and experience the incredible journey that Gino rode as part of his role in saving hundreds from the grasp of the Nazi’s.

We look forward to welcoming you with us, as we celebrate the incredible deeds of the great Gino Bartali.

Bartali 180 Riding Course

The 2019 Bartali 180 Ride will feature a beautiful rolling road out of Florence, where you can catch a peak of the Apennine Mountain Range in the distance.

The route will then continue on Via Sette Ponte, a particularly beautiful road that is used by many riders as a part of their daily riding. Along the route, we will stop in “Rada in Chianti” for light lunch, before heading to Terontola – where Bartali’s monument is placed.

At Terontola, we will meet with Ivo Faltoni, Bartali’s dear friend, to hear from him directly about the harrowing years of Gino’s involvement in supporting the Assisi Underground, and about Gino’s success in cycling and the Grand tours.

The last part of the ride, before reaching Assisi, is rather an optional one, with a few good climbs, making the post ride massage extremely welcomed!

For those who would like to have a shorter day, the option of jumping on the event bus would be available at this spot.

The ride will finish with a short scenic ascent up into Assisi, before the final finishers ceremony at Piazza Santa Maria Degli Angeli in Assisi.

Fully Supported Ride
Bartali 180 Ride is a fully supported experience. Participants will have the amenities and support exactly like the professional riders do and get to enjoy:
